This 26 year old woman is changing the way we think about beauty standards.

Sara Geurts was only 10 when she was diagnosed with a rare skin condition called Ehlers-Danlos Dermatosparaxis Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that inhibits the body's ability to produce collagen. As a result, Geurts has skin that wrinkled prematurely and makes her appear to be much older, but as you can see in these stunning images, the now 26-year-old model is determined to show the world that she has nothing To be ashamed.

"My skin was my biggest insecurity," she says in the video below. "But now I think it's the most beautiful thing. Every imperfection you have is individual to you, tells a story of who you are, the struggle and the journey you've been on. "



Originally from Minnesota, Geurts, who now lives in Los Angeles, is on a mission to change the way we think about beauty standards. In 2015, she submitted her story to the Love Your Lines campaign, a project that praises women's imperfections and their latest video, produced by Barcroft TV, so far has been seen almost two million times.

"You will find people get intimidated by you," he recently wrote on Instagram. "You are different. People do not know how to react or how to accept someone who does not follow the crowd ... They are not accustomed to someone who does not try to fit in. So instead of reinforcing your uniqueness, they will try to make you feel it is strange. I'm here to give you well-deserved advice: damn them. "
