Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, has today become the richest person in the world, according to a Bloomberg report. His estimated fortune surpassed that of Microsoft's co-founder Bill Gates earlier this morning because of an increase in the stock price of his online trading company.
Bezos began 2017 as the fourth richest person in the world and gradually gained positions as Amazon shares grew in value on the stock market.
