Worth 1 million: what would happen if we dropped a cube of water in the sun?

Sol
American scientists answered an unusual question: What would happen to the Sun if we threw a water cube at it?

Of course, it is not a usual cube, but a hypothetical cube of a size capable of "wetting" the star queen.

In this case, the concepts of "cube", "water" and "watering" are metaphors, since it is impossible to imagine a vessel of the required size and the existence of liquid water in space.

We know that according to the laws of physics that work on Earth, water can stop the combustion process, because it stops the access of oxygen to the burning object. But the Sun produces energy through nuclear fusion, in which two or more atomic nuclei join together and form another nucleus of greater atomic number.

Scientists point out that the average density of our Sun's matter exceeds almost twice the density of water. Therefore, if the Sun were to be added with a volume of water capable of covering it, the elements would connect and a new star would appear, corresponding to 48% of hydrogen, 14% of helium and 37% of oxygen. So, according to scientists interviewed by the Independent newspaper, the new star would be much hotter and six times brighter.

One of the scientists wrote that if that happened, Earth's biosphere would be burned and the oceans would boil.
