Kate in grey ... October '15 (L) and March '12
THE practical former Miss Middleton has again proved that even royalty can wear the same dress more than once.
After a week of showcasing new designer frocks, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for an old favourite at a North London event on Tuesday before wearing a floral gown at night.
Eagle-eyed fashion followers at the daytime Islington Town Hall bash spotted her grey pleated Orla Kiely frock had been given an outing before — back in 2012.
But this is not the first time that Kate has worn an outfit in public for a second time, or even a third.
We took a look through the Duchess’s fashion archive and found she regularly reaches to the back of her wardrobe...
Orla Kiely, £299

IT was Catherine the Greyt as she wore this pleated number while attending a function in North London on Tuesday.
Teamed with plain black court shoes and simple clutch bag, this whole look was a replica of her 2012 ensemble.
Tory Burch, £390
THIS monochrome shift dress was the perfect get-up for the yummy mummy last year and was still a wardrobe winner this month.
LK Bennett, £225
COBALT blue dress from LK Bennett proves she is a fan of the High Street store. The retailer created her much-loved nude court shoes.
Alexander McQueen, £1,375
WITH a military feel, these separates were bang on trend. The buttons might be brassy but she sure looked classy.
KATE wore this Hobbs sale dress a few months apart, the second time without the necklace — showing she learns from her slip-ups.
PRETTY pink frock was worn on two occasions just 11 days apart — as if there weren’t any other choices in her royal wardrobe.
Roland Mouret, £3,005
KATE stepped out to two posh dos in this floor-length white frock. With a cheeky split, this simple style shows off her figure.
Topshop, £38
THIS polka dot dress sold out within an hour after she was seen in it. She wore it at six months’ pregnant and for a pal’s wedding.
Alexander McQueen, £1,195
SHE opts for her fave designer again, first with headgear and then with signature wavy locks. She also changes her accessories.
Zimmerman, £275
THE Duchess wore this pretty tea dress by the Aussie designer on tour Down Under and couldn’t resist choosing it again soon after.
Jenny Packham, £3,191
THIS frock might be pricey but the Duchess of Cambridge is making sure she gets value out of it by choosing it on three occasions — and, of course, accessorising with some serious bling.
Me+Em/J Brand, £278
WHEN it comes to dressing down, Kate has her reliable off-duty uniform. Skinny jeans and classic Breton top is a look that never goes out of style.
Temperley, £2,900
THIS show-stopper was just too good to wear once, and too good to even wear just twice. Looking lovely in lace, Kate oozed sophistication in this gorgeous gown that made a triple appearance.
