Scotland Yard calls "attention" to the LGBT community in Parade

London - The Metropolitan Police asked Friday to the LGBT community to be "alert" during the Gay Pride Parade scheduled for the next day 25, after the attack on Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

The chief commissioner of Scotland Yard, Bernard Hogan-Howe said today that the threat level has not increased since the "horrible" occurred attack in the early hours of Sunday in the gay nightclub in Orlando (Florida), but considered that the participants event in London "should take care and take reasonable precautions" because this year "there will be more people" at the event.

"It is likely that more people come out to show solidarity, to show that not afraid, and this is something we should encourage," he said in statements to local newspapers.

Despite the request of caution, Commissioner revealed that after reviewing the information provided by intelligence services "there is nothing to indicate that someone wants to attack London or event."

The president of the Gay Parade in London, Michael Salter, said today that they believe that the presence of the public this year will be "huge", just in solidarity with Orlando tragedy.

"I think people feel more united and in solidarity with the LGBT community around the world," he said.

Orlando is considered the worst attack with firearms in US history. The action left 50 dead - including the author himself - and 53 injured.
