A group of American diplomats used a channel official State Department to criticize the Obama administration's policy in Syria, confirmed on Thursday the spokesman John Kirby.

The spokesman admitted to AFP the existence of a "dissident drafted by a group of officials from the State Department involving the situation in Syria."

"We are analyzing the message, sent very recently."

Kirby explained that the State Department there is a "dissident channel" that allows diplomats who disagree with the official policy record their concerns without fear of reprisal.

The bombing, which occurred in the region of Al Tanaf, "raise serious concerns about Russian intentions" in Syria, said the official, who asked not to be identified.

"The Russian planes were not active in this area of southern Syria for some time, and there was no Russian or regime soldiers in the vicinity" of the attack position, the official added.

"We will seek an explanation of this action Russia, as well as assurances that this will not happen anymore."
