Mayor of Seoul visit China in order to attract tourists to the city

The Mayor of Seoul, Park Won Soon, visited China between day 2:06 of August to disclose the tourism potential of the Korean capital. The trip is part of a series of actions designed to attract Chinese tourists, who are still hesitant to visit Seoul because of the recent MERS epidemic officially declared extinct in late July.

The visit included three major Chinese cities, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, and was marked by various activities. On 02 in Guangzhou was carried out FlashMob attended by Jia and Fei, the group Miss A. In the early morning of August 3, Mayor of Seoul, Park Won Soon, visited Korean clothing stores in Shopping Nuzzon in Qipu lu - Shanghai. The purpose of the visit was to promote Korean clothing sales. On this day there was also a visit to CTrip agency, one of China's largest.

On 04, also in Shanghai, the mayor attended live online program "Qiangguo Luntan - Quiangguo Fangtan" where Internet users could interact and win prizes and met Xue Xiao Gang, chairman of the China Travel Service (CTS) , expressing its appreciation to the CTS to help Chinese tourists to choose Seoul as your travel destination, despite the former MERS issue. Park Won Soo delivered a banner written in Chinese by himself, in which he read: "Now is the time - Visit Seoul".
The Seoul Mayor moved the same day and visited the headquarters of the People's Daily, where he met with President of the portal, Yang Zhenwu, steadying support for the promotion of tourism in the capital of Korea among the citizens of Beijing. On 05, in Beijing, Park Won Soon, along with the Korean artist Kangta, the Chinese artist Chen Xuedong and 100 dancers participated in a FlashMob in one of the busiest streets of the city. The FlashMob was followed by the appointment of Kangta and Chen Xuedong as ambassadors Seoul fees for tourism promotion. There was also a visit to China International Travel Service (CITS) and a meeting with the mayor of Beijing.

The Seoul Mayor took an active part in the activities, not only meeting with authorities and tourism experts, but also distributing coupons for discounts, cosmetic samples and invitations to a number of cultural events such as live concerts and shows that take place in early October in Seoul, coinciding with the week of the holiday of China's National Day (very conducive to travel time).
