Statue of Lenin is transformed into Darth Vader in southern Ukraine

Change is part of 'de-Communization' of Ukraine, provided by law.
Character 'Star Wars' was already a candidate for the prime minister.

A statue of Vladimir Lenin, one of the symbols in the former Soviet Union, was renovated and transformed into a Darth Vader character from "Star Wars" in the city of Odessa in southern Ukraine.

The work was created by artist Alexander Milov and has a point wi-fi in your head. The opening ceremony, on Friday (23), with the presence of people costumed characters from the films.
According to the BBC agency, the change is part of the "de-Communization" Ukraine, provided by law approved in the country's parliament in April this year.


This is not the first demonstration of wonder to the character in the country. According to the British newspaper "The Guardian", the Internet Party ran last year the Ukrainian elections with Darth Vader as prime minister candidate, on a plaque that still had Chewbacca, Yoda and Padmé Amidala.
