Unemployment in the euro zone fell to the lowest level since 2011
London - The unemployment rate in the euro zone fell to 10.1% in May, from 10.2% in April, reaching the lowest level since July 2011, according to data published today by Eurostat, the official statistical agency of the Union European.
The result was in line with expectations of analysts polled by Dow Jones Newswires.
In May, the total number of unemployed in the European bloc fell by 112,000 to 16.267 million people.
