Diamou Fallou Diop, Senegalese stylist, better known as Grand Mama has been in Brazil for 10 years. He showed interest in African fashion at the age of 16, inspired by the famous African stylist Diouma Dieng Diakhate. In São Paulo, she worked as a cleaner in a Municipal School and then with handicrafts and resale of African fabrics. Sophisticated and full of style, her African dresses and lush turbans drew attention wherever she went. "Orders began to appear on clothing," recalls the professional expert who has already run the world - he has met Spain, France and some African countries.
Excited with so many compliments, she decided to make exclusive pieces, attracting the attention of Brazilians and Africans. Today, she is one of the most well-known African designers in Brazil: her looks dress several celebrities, among them the singer (Brazilian), Elza Soares and Miss Brazil Raissa Santana. Nowadays, she has also stood out in the runways and fashion editorials with the brand "Mama Nossa Cultura." The inspirations for her creations come from Africa itself, in which Mama spreads her roots through colors, fabrics, accessories and African culture.

African clothing has a touch of tradition both in its models and prints. "100% identity. My biggest inspiration is the streets, where I find people of different bodies and desires," explains the owner of Negrif. "This is allied to the African continent, its colors and the grandeur of kings and queens. This is Negrif, a brand that values every person in its essence," says Mada Negrif, fashion designer and stylist who signs the pieces of the brand. "It is the fashion allied to different desires: I create pieces that identify with the streets of Salvador", emphasizes the daughter of seamstress. Mada began her career by selling clothes "in the bag". With success, in 2011, opened the first store and became a pioneer in working with prints that portray women printed their pieces.
"With this differentiated work I won the market and today I am represented in six Brazilian states", celebrates the fashion designer, postgraduate in management and production of events.

Afro-Brazilian clothing that rescues our roots: dresses, skirts, pants, shoes, bags and accessories to compose the look. "Color, style and joy! African fabrics portray this!", Says entrepreneur Mario Farias, responsible for Sou Diva Accessories. "The brand appeared in 2009 after having made a feminine collection of clothes in a project of the Faculty of Fashion Design. I felt the need for the accessories to compose the looks, so I created a brand that escaped the usual semijoias," he recalls. "I started a research on the African tribes' body paintings and the colors of the prints. From that point on, I started producing accessories in African fabrics, sources of inspiration to create our fashion!"

African Pop. Inheritances of African culture make the fashion in Bahia of all Saints and charms: vibrant tones - clothes made up of different combinations of colors and styles. Fa Thereza da Silva is Fashion Designer, creator of the brand Santa Thereza. "Afro fashion is first and foremost communication, so I work for self-esteem, empowerment and identity for women," she insists. For the elegant businesswoman, the references she uses bring in essence the ancestry and identity that connects Mother Africa. "In my creations, I always bet on a combination of colors, textures, prints and striking shapes," he explains. "Africa is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, I carry out surveys on websites, I accompany parades related to the theme and observe the unique desire of each woman." To compose Afro fashion, we also have many accessories, they are essential to the looks. "
