US security forces feel the 'owners' of Russian diplomatic buildings

Russia's Foreign Ministry has posted on Facebook a video of several people performing "cryptic works" on the roof of the Russian Consulate General's building in San Francisco.

From the description of the images it is written that the representatives of the American security forces "are feeling the owners without permission" of the consulate's territory, "mutilate the expensive wood floor" as if they were robbers.

On September 2, US security services conducted searches at the Russian Consulate General in San Francisco and the Russian Trade Representative in Washington and New York. The representative of the US State Department stated that the searches were conducted after the termination of the activities of the consulate, so that the law would not have been violated.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has referred to the actions cited above as a violation of international law and said Moscow is ready to initiate legal proceedings.

On August 31, the United States demanded the closure of the activities of the Russian Consulate in San Francisco, as well as the delivery of the Russian diplomatic mission buildings in Washington and New York from 2 September. The US State Department has confirmed that all requirements have been met by the Russian party in due time.
