São Paulo - The singer Lady Gaga recently met with the religious leader Dalai Lama with the intention to promote peace in a debate broadcast live on the internet. The Chinese government, however, did not like the meeting and decided to ban it from the country.

According to the site Next Media, Chinese minister of the foreign affairs, Hong Lei, issued a statement condemning Gaga to engage on the independence of Tibet.

The Chinese advertising department also spoke and decreed a ban on the singer's songs, such as other types of content produced by it. The ban is already in place from Monday, 27.

This is not the first time Gaga has problems with China. In 2011, she entered a blacklist of local authorities because of the lyrics of their songs, considered inadequate.

At the time, artists like Katy Perry and Backstreet Boys have gone through the same problem.

In April, Selena Gomez singer also underwent similar problem after being seen in a photo with the spiritual leader.
