Negotiations for UK output should start in 2017

Bratislava - The President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, predicts that the UK will begin negotiations for their departure from the European Union at the beginning of next year. After EU leaders meeting in the capital of Slovakia, which did not count on the participation of the United Kingdom, Tusk said he recently met the British Prime Minister, Theresa May. According to him, May said that negotiations should not start so early as many European leaders had hoped.

"She stated that it is almost impossible to trigger Article 50 this year," Tusk said on Friday, referring to the rule that enables the period of two years for the output of an EU member country. "But it's likely that they may be ready in January, perhaps in February of next year."
