Edgar Mitchell, born on September 17, 1930 and died on February 4, 2016 (age 85) was astronaut Apollo 14 mission, and the sixth man on the moon in 1971. He recently had surprised the world with statements controversial, clearly talking about UFOs and ETs.
According to the world media reported, in an interview with British newspaper "Mirror Online", the iconic astronaut spoke clearly about the fateful matter that NASA and official agencies avoid. He said that alien visitors have managed to preserve world peace during the Cold War, deactivating nuclear missiles!

Mitchell said that thanks to these alien interventions, a nuclear war between the US and the former Soviet Union was avoided. In his own words: "My own experience, talking to people, they made me understand that the ETs were clearly trying to prevent us from going to war, helping to keep peace on Earth."
And he did not stop there, saying he spoke with many officers of the US Air Force, saying that UFOs were often seen in the sky, and often desativavam or overthrew nuclear test missiles, including bases in the Pacific Ocean coast.

Although it also said that, personally, have never seen a UFO, he said the reports of many others led him to believe that the aliens actually intervened, and still involved in our activities.
Another Mitchell's statement, which also caused controversy earlier, was when he said that "if they (ETs) were hostile, we would not be here to tell the story." NASA quickly replied that never covered up any case of UFOs, and that while the astronaut was a great American, the space agency did not share their opinions on this issue.
Many claim that Edgar Mitchell became an understanding "New Wave" of the matter, and since he founded the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) in 1973, the famous astronaut is dedicated to studying phenomena "that do not necessarily fit conventional scientific models ".
Of course, this vision of peace ETs is not new, and was part of many "conspiracy theories", but this time, with statements starting from someone directly connected to space exploration, it takes on new dimensions. But if you think this whole story is much like the movie 'The Day the Earth Stood Still, you are not the only ...
