Washington - US President Barack Obama said in a statement on Friday that the relationship between his country and the United Kingdom will not change - even with the exit of Britain from the European Union. Talking about the uncertain future in the bloc, the US said that "the only thing I know is that there will be changes in the special relationship that exists between our two nations."
"I talked to David Cameron a few hours and on our conversation, I believe that the UK's transition will take place beautiful and properly," he said. Obama also reiterated that the British premier, who will leave office in October, "is a friend and a partner" and is "confident" that all will end well.
