Experiment surprises people to reveal their sources

Experimento surpreende pessoas ao revelar suas verdadeiras origens

We do not know which parts of the world come to our families.

This is the message that originated from a global survey conducted by Momondo in partnership with AncestryDNA, who pointed out that although six in 10 Brazilians believe that its origin is at most two countries, the truth is that our origins may be scattered for many other places in the world that at least we suppose.

The survey was part of a campaign launched yesterday (2) the search engine for flights and hotel reservations, in order to show that regardless of the country where we live, we are much closer than we think other people.

The momodo, search platform for airline tickets and hotel reservations, launched a global campaign in order to show that regardless of the country where we live, we are much closer than we think other people.

To test the idea, a survey was conducted in partnership with AncestryDNA, performing DNA tests on people from different countries in order to prove the connections between people.

"Through the study, our interest was to find out if people knew their family history. We believed that people underestimate their cultural diversity. And it shows that we are more connected to the world of rest than we had imagined - and our aim is to focus on this idea, "says Pedro Correia, responsible for Momondo operation in Brazil.

As part of the initiative, Momondo invited 67 people from different parts of the world to participate in a project where they had the opportunity to conduct a DNA test to learn more about your family history. After performing the tests, they shared their expectations and later had revealed the results.
