Hillary can vote to turn Democratic candidate

Hillary Clinton é a candidata democrata que vai concorrer à presidência dos Estados Unidos

Hillary Clinton got Monday enough support from delegates to secure the Democratic nomination, becoming the first woman candidate for the US presidency by a major party.

According to the agency of American news AP and other media, the rule of former Secretary obtained the necessary support from delegates the day before the primaries in six states - including California - where Clinton campaigned vigorously.

Clinton and her campaign staff admitted to have crossed the magic number of 2,383 delegates, the needed to win the nomination, but warned that the dispute with Senator Bernie Sanders is not over.

Clinton, 68, said he was "flattered" with the completion of the media, but reminded his supporters that Tuesday's primary "vote tomorrow."

"This is an important milestone, but there are six states that will vote on Tuesday with millions of people going to the polls, and Hillary Clinton is working to win every vote," said his campaign manager, Robby Mook, in a statement.

"Let's wait until Tuesday night when Hillary Clinton to ensure not only a victory in the popular vote, but also the most committed delegates," he added.

In rally in Long Beach, Los Angeles area, Clinton admitted that "according to the news, we are on the verge of a historic moment, unprecedented (...), but we have much work to do, really. There are six elections tomorrow and we will fight hard for every vote, especially here in California. "

Senator Bernie Sanders said on Monday that Clinton did not guarantee anything, adding that the superdelegates can not vote until the party convention in July.

Hillary Clinton "does not have the required number of committed delegates to secure the nomination," said Sanders, who seek to "convince the superdelegates that is by far the strongest candidate to face Donald Trump."

"It is unfortunate that the press, in a hasty trial, ignore the clear statement of the Democratic National Committee that it is a mistake to count the votes of superdelegates before they actually vote on this summer's convention" (boreal), said the spokesman Sanders Michael Briggs.

If you win in California, the state with the largest number of delegates at stake, Sanders can justify his stay until the last primary next week in Washington, or even to the convention.

"Our goal is to get the largest amount of delegates we can to convince superdelegates that (...) I am the best candidate" to win Trump, Sanders said during a press conference in Emeryville.

The superdelegates are party leaders and legislators who are entitled to vote due to their position, and are not elected in the primaries.

Encouraged by the victories in the territories of the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico over the weekend, Clinton was preparing to declare victory on Tuesday, as the polls closed in New Jersey on the east coast.

Earlier on Monday, before the Associated Press disclose its recount, Hillary Clinton told reporters in Compton, in the region of Los Angeles, the dispute "only ends when it ends."

Hours later, at a rally in Lynwood, Clinton admitted that "would be deeply honored and surprised" if Tuesday became the "Hillary's day."

"Tomorrow is exactly eight years since I retired and I joined the then Senator (Barack) Obama. I think it was a good decision", said Clinton on Monday, noting that will approach Sanders.

"I hope you join me in that. We must be united towards the convention to attack Donald Trump and repudiate its kind campaign," he added.
