After a long suspense, the president of the United States House of Representatives, Paul Ryan, a leading Republican leaders announced on Thursday its support to the candidacy of Donald Trump at the White House.
"I will vote in @realDonaldTrump this fall," he tweeted. "I am confident that it will help transform the agenda of the Republican Party in the House in laws," he added.
Republican highest elective office in office today, Ryan dropped a bombshell last month within the party when he announced he was not ready to support the candidacy of Trump.
However, after talking with the billionaire, under pressure from other party leaders, the mayor said on Thursday that Trump would implement a series of policy proposals that Ryan himself is developing to be the basis for the Republican Party platform.
"There is no doubt that he and I are different. I'm not going to look the other way (...) But the reality is that, with regard to the central themes of our program, we have more commonalities than differences" said Ryan, in a column published on the "site" GazetteXtra.
