Trump believes Obama was born in the United States, says campaign

WASHINGTON - Republican candidate for the White House, Donald Trump, one of the leaders of a movement that questioned the US citizenship of President Barack Obama believes that he was born in the United States, said the Trump campaign in a statement on Thursday.

In an interview with the Washington Post reported earlier in the day, Trump declined to answer believed that Obama was in fact born in Hawaii. "I will answer that question at the right time. I just do not want to answer it now," said the tycoon.

Comments Trump the newspaper provoked criticism from Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who expressed amazement at the Trump response while talking to Hispanic leaders at a meeting in Washington.

"He's still not saying Hawaii. He continues not saying America. This man wants to be our next president?" Asked Hillary.

"When is he going with this ugliness, this intolerance? Now, he tried to revive himself and his campaign often. That's the best he can do. This is what it is," he said.

After a few years of presidency, Obama, the african-first American to win the White House released a longer version of his birth certificate in response to those who insinuated that he was not born in the United States.

"In 2011, Mr. Trump was finally able to put an end to this unfortunate incident urging President Obama successfully promote your birth certificate," the aide said senior communication Trump, Jason Miller, in a statement issued at the end Thursday.

"Having been successful in obtaining the birth certificate of President Obama when others have not succeeded, Mr. Trump believes that President Obama was born in the United States," he said.

Trump has been trying to enlist the support of black voters, who overwhelmingly voted for Obama in the 2008 elections and 2012. Many african Americans repudiate the involvement of Trump with the movement "birther" and the implication that the Obama presidency is illegitimate.
