Trump is "national shame" to former Secretary of State

Donald Trump, candidato republicano às eleições americanas

The Republican candidate for the American presidency, Donald Trump, is a "national disgrace" and an "international pariah", according to former Secretary of State Colin Powel, who had hacked e-mails and released on Wednesday.

Trump is "destroying himself, without Democratic attacks," he wrote the former secretary of state George W. Bush on June 17, a journalist and former collaborator, Emily Miller, according to these messages obtained by DCleaks and released on Wednesday by Buzzfeed site.

Powell, Secretary of State between 2001 and 2005, general and head of the Joint between 1989 and 1993, confirmed the authenticity of electronic messages to the NBC television network and added that the hackers had "many others."

A total of 30,000 hacked emails from General Powell would have been delivered by hackers to DCleaks, according to The Daily Caller.

Powell also criticized Trump for having launched in 2008 the movement claimed that Barack Obama was not born in the United States and, therefore, could not have been elected president.

"Yes, the movement was racist," writes Powell, a Republican who supported Barack Obama in 2008 and in 2012.

Some of your emails also critically address the episode of Hillary Clinton e-mails sent from your private server.

"It's sad. HRC (Hillary Rodham Clinton) could have ended it all two years ago telling everyone honestly what he had done, and not get involved in the matter. I told her three times that his team did not try this maneuver," he wrote on August 28.

People close to Clinton have repeated in recent months that Powell had also used a personal account when he was secretary of state to minimize the use by Hillary of an email account to a private server. The case follows poisoning his election campaign.
