UK reevaluates jobs to control immigration

Theresa May, primeira ministra do Reino Unido

London - The minister of interior of the United Kingdom, Amber Rudd said on Sunday (11) evaluated a work permit system to control immigration from the European Union, responding to the demand of voters who voted for the Brexit by a control border stricter.

Although formal negotiations on EU output have yet to start, the UK has sought a way to satisfy those who supported the assault because they wanted to reduce immigration and the end of the opening of borders with the bloc. At the same time, the government also considers the needs of an economy in which some sectors rely on foreign labor.

"Permission to work certainly has value," said Amber BBC, saying his department was reviewing immigration control systems and that no decision had been taken yet. "What we seek is how we can get the best for the economy, bringing the numbers down, but protecting people who really add value to the economy," said Amber.

Currently, the UK has a visa system for those who are not from countries of the European bloc, but, according to EU rules, citizens in the 28 countries are free block to live and work in the UK.

Earlier this month Prime Minister Theresa May rejected a system of "scoring" to select immigrants - something activists Brexit promised to implement - raising fears among some voters that his government would not be hard line on key issues such as immigration .
