New York 7 Jun (EFE) .- The governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie, defended on Tuesday the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to American elections, which he called "friend" and denied it was racist, after latest comments magnate against a judge of Mexican origin.
"I know Donald Trump for 14 years and know it's not a racist person," he said Christie told reporters after casting his vote in New Jersey for primary today, which also occur in Montana, California, New Mexico, South Dakota and Dakota North (this only for Democrats).
The polling centers received the first voters from 6am local (7 am GMT) and there are no records of complications, according to the American press.
All polling centers for the Democratic and Republican primary in New Jersey will close at 20h local (21h GMT) and from then know the first urn mouth research, before the first data verification. At stake in New Jersey 142 Democratic delegates and 51 Republican.
Speaking to the press, the governor of New Jersey Trump defended the accusations made by Judge Gonzalo Curiel, in charge of one of the cases of fraud against Trump University. The New York tycoon said last Friday that the judge's decisions are influenced by Mexican origin.
"I know this judge personally and do not know the case of Trump University background, so I will not talk about this issue," said the governor.
Christie politician with negative record of 27% of citizen approval according to research released on Tuesday by the channel "News 12" in New Jersey, admitted that sometimes Trump should think more about some statements, but commented that this makes it a political "honest, who says what he thinks."
