Recently, Pearson wrote a report about what we can expect from the construction industry in the next 30 years. The study was a request from Hewden, a company of construction equipment. Buildings are real cities
Pearson believes the skyscrapers will be controlled by a kind of artificial intelligence. Thus, people who live or work within these buildings can talk with the system and make requests. It would be like talking to Siri, the personal assistant of Apple, only on a much larger scale, since you could ask to change the internal temperature of a building.
The report also predicts that the skyscrapers act as minicidades - a kind of gated community on high. According to Pearson, the price of lots will be as high in the future that large buildings will be built to house a lot of people who want to live in cities - especially low and middle class workers.
