EMC TimeHunter model, Urwerk, is a watch that combines mechanical engineering watchmaking industry with an electronic module that allows measurement of the rates obtained by the engine.
This means that at the push of a button, the user can know that the clock is running faster or slower, in addition to knowing the extent of its setting.
This piece was presented in 2013 and now earns an update that allows the detail view of the functioning of the mechanism TimeHunter X-Ray, a model in limited edition of only 15 units.
Simply put, the device EMC (Electro Mechanical Control), is basically an electronic stethoscope connected to a "common" mechanical movement.
The power for the electronics is given by a side lever that charges a capacitor positioned in the 11 hours of the display area. This capacitor can be charged between 100 000 and 200 000 times, it is the same used in the Mars probe, but miniaturized.
