Obama asks Hillary to vote because "remains work to do"

Philadelphia - US President Barack Obama campaigned Tuesday in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania) for the Democratic candidate to replace him in the White House, Hillary Clinton, because "there is still work to do."

Obama, who was greeted with a standing ovation by a crowd with great presence of african-Americans, asked votes for Hillary, who is recovering from pneumonia, opposite the "pessimistic view" of the Republican candidate, Donald Trump.

"The United States I know are optimistic, generous and innovative," Obama said in the largest city in Pennsylvania, a key state for the elections.

Obama referred to Trump as "that other guy" which is defined as "defender of working people," but "hides your tax return and left a trail of processes and deceived people."

"People are not aware of the demands of this work (...) Anyone can drop a tweet and be critical, but that does not mean it can lead an international crisis," said Obama.

The US president - who was not accompanied by Clinton, who is resting after having felt bad on Sunday by pneumonia, or by his running mate, Tim Kaine - said his former secretary of state "been there" and know the consequences and responsibilities of a president who makes decisions that affect everyone.

Obama also stressed the need for continuity and "maintain progress" of his eight years in office, in which, he said, millions out of poverty, the rate of people without insurance fell, relations with Cuba were resumed and closed a agreement to fight climate change globally.

"The other guy, Mr. Trump, spent most of his life trying to be as far away from working people and now goes around saying that is the guide of the workers?" Said Obama.

The president also criticized Trump for saying he admires Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Republicans, advocates of freedom, contrary to authoritarianism, say this guy is hard for invading a smaller country and they control the press," said the minister in reference to Crimea (Ukraine).

Obama has countered the vision of a presidency of Hillary, "constant and true" with experience of government, against the "dark pessimism" and a "country against each other" to battle it out as in a "reality show" of Trump.

Hillary Clinton leads the polls in Pennsylvania, although Trump rely on his victory in this state, who leaned in favor of the Democrats in recent years, with the support of the middle class and rural.
