The president-elect, Jair Bolsonaro, said in an interview with Bandeirantes Network on Monday that neither China nor any other country could buy Brazil. According to him, relations with Beijing will maintain normalcy in his government.
After receiving the ambassador of China in Brazil, Li Jinzhang, Bolsonaro told the Band that "all countries can buy in Brazil, but not buy Brazil".
"It's in the face of China wanting to increase business with Brazil," he said. "We will not have any problems with China.

In an editorial published in the China Daily, China's main state newspaper, the Chinese even warned of the losses that Brazil might face if it adopted aggressive rhetoric toward Beijing in the next government, just as the current president did American, Donald Trump.
