Physical inactivity is the lack or absence of physical activities, resulting in reduced caloric expenditure.
A person is considered sedentary when he can not afford to spend a minimum of 2,200 calories per week with physical activity. The active individual should spend at least 300 calories per day.
The sedentarismo has high incidence in the population, being considered a problem of public health.
It is believed that 46% of the Brazilian population is sedentary. Still, it is estimated that the sedentarism is related to almost 14% of the deaths in Brazil.

There are several causes for the sedentary lifestyle, the main one being the lack of physical activity and healthy eating.

Make use of car even in small routes;
Use escalators;
Routine taken by various activities;
Fail to perform some domestic activities;
Exaggerated consumption of processed foods;
Spend several hours using the computer or in front of the TV.
