Serpent scares believers at the Western Wall in Jerusalem

Muro das Lamentações

On October 31, a snake appeared on the Wailing Wall, frightening believers and forcing guards from the holiest corner of Judaism to call a snake catcher, the Wailing Wall Heritage Foundation said.

When the captor found the snake, he realized that it was not poisonous. The reptile was seen among the stones of the Wall in the female section that was temporarily closed during the operation against the "intruder."

"The snake happened to creep into the female section, causing slight fright and disruption. It was called a qualified snake catcher who successfully caught her," according to a statement.

The foundation released a video of the snake catcher climbing a ladder to catch the snake among the ancient stones. The animal was about a meter long. It gives to listen as the spectators of the "rescue" reward the fortunate hunter with applause.
