Adèle cancels shows in London due to vocal cord problem
This weekend's presentations would be the last of the tour
British singer Adele has canceled the last two shows of her world tour, which would take place on Saturday (1) and Sunday (2) at Wembley Stadium in London, due to a vocal cord problem. The 29-year-old star's presentations would thus end a 123-show tour.
After two other performances, on Wednesday and Thursday, also at Wembley, for a crowd of about 100,000 people, the 29-year-old star would end a 123-concert tour this weekend.
"The last two nights at Wembley were the biggest and best shows of my life ... But I struggled vocally on both nights, I had to try harder than usual," wrote Adele in a long message posted on the networks In the early hours of Saturday. "I went to see my doctor ... and it turns out that my vocal cords are damaged," he laments, admitting that "I am truly unable to sing this weekend."
In the text, the winner of 15 Grammy awards apologizes to fans and informs that the value of the tickets will be refunded if the shows "can not be reprogrammed."
On Thursday night at Wembley, Adele hinted that she could leave the stage after this tour.
In a handwritten note included in the show, which was later published by several social media fans, the singer acknowledged: "I wanted my last gigs to be in London, because I do not know if I'll be touring again, at home".
